It will be held in conjunction with the "Taste of History: A Tribute to Higher Educaiton in Northeast Georgia" program and will begin at 1:00 and continue until 4:00.
Attendees will be able to enter their names for drawings for door prizes and scholarships.
High school students, their parents, and adults interested in finding out more about the opportunities for pursuing post-secondary programs will be able to talk with admissions representatives from each of the colleges and universities. They will also have the chance to sit in on presentations about financial aid and how to choose a college.
Georgia Student Finance Commission, a sponsor of the event, will have staff present to demonstrate the GAcollege411.org website, which facilitates college and career searches and helps students calculate HOPE-eligible GPA. Computers will be available so accounts can be set up that day.
The following schools will be represented: Brenau University, Emmanuel College, Gainesville State College, Lanier Technical College, North Georgia College and State University, North Georgia Technical College, Piedmont College, Toccoa Falls College, and Young Harris College.
