ATHENS - Athens-Clarke police issued more than 50 citations, mostly related to alcohol, during revelry associated with the University of Georgia's first home football game in Athens.

The charges included 18 for underage drinking; 10 for public intoxication; nine for open containers of alcohol; and seven for disorderly conduct.

Among those arrested were a 25-year-old Athens woman charged with public intoxication after police found her passed out in an apartment complex parking lot next to a pile of her own vomit. Police said she was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Also, a 19-year-old Atlanta man was charged with underage drinking and public intoxication after police said he tried to steal and eat rock candy from the Lazy Shopper in downtown Athens.
