GAINESVILLE - The first of a series of meetings on projects identified for next year's Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) in the Gainesville area is scheduled later this week.

The Georgia Mountains Regional Transportation Roundtable formally approved the draft constrained project list for the region, including Gainesville and Hall County, in August.

As AccessNorthGa.com first reported earlier this month, the four meetings will give the public a chance to find out more about the Transportation Investment Act (TIA) of 2010 and the list of projects.

The meeting schedule is as follows:

· Hall County: September 13 from 5:30-7:00 at the Spout Springs Library in Flowery Branch
· Stephens County: September 20 from 5:00-7:00 at the Stephens County Courthouse in Toccoa
· Forsyth County: September 22 from 5:00-7:00 at the Forsyth County Administration Building in Cumming
· White County: September 22 from 5:00-7:00 at the White County Library in Cleveland
