Body of missing man recovered from Lake Lanier

CUMMING - The body of a 62-year-old Forsyth County man, who was reported missing August 24, has been found in Lake Lanier.

During the initial search for Stephen Bryk of Cumming, authorities say it was determined that he had taken his pontoon boat out of its dock and onto the lake.

The boat was discovered during the initial search and appeared to have had mechanical problems, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, but there was no sign of Bryk.

Capt. Tim House said Sunday Bryk's body was discovered at 5:00 Saturday in a cove near Dogwood Trail

According to Kip Adams of the Forsyth County Coroner's Office "there are no visual signs of foul play."
