CUMMING - Georgia DOT announces the upgraded intersections of Waldrip Road and State Route 369 and of Waldrip Circle and State Route 369 will open to traffic Friday evening.

Waldrip Road was shifted to align with SR 369 at a 90 degree angle. The grade was also raised by about 2 feet. Waldrip Circle was shifted behind Oscarville Store and now lines up across State Route 369 with McBride Road. These changes will improve distance motorists can see along SR 369 as they decide to enter or cross the State Route.

This is the last intersection along State Route 369 to be upgraded along the corridor finishing the operational improvements developed with Forsyth County. Remaining work includes laying the smooth top layer of asphalt, final striping of the roadways, completion of a retaining wall along the eastbound lane of SR 369 and installation of guardrail. The project is expected to finish by its completion date of October 31.
