Softball: Defending champs even 8-AAA record

Defending Class AAA state champion White County evened its Region 8-AAA record with a 3-1 win over Stephens County Thursday in girls softball action.

Callie McDonald tossed a complete game with five strike outs and just one walk to earn the win for the Lady Warriors (7-5, 3-3 in region).

Morgan Jacobson paced the offense with four hits, including two doubles. Aubrid Gstalder had one hit and two RBI and Morgan Sullens had one hit and one RBI for White COunty.

the Lady Warriors will be off until Sept. 13 when they play host to North Hall in a Region 8-AAA game.
