Softball: Hughes tosses no-hitter, Union runs win streak to seven

BLAIRSVILLE -- Angie Hughes pitched a no-hitter, striking out 18 to lead Class AA No. 3-ranked Union County to a 6-0 win over Rabun County Tuesday in Region 8-AA North action.

The Lady Panthers (9-1, 2-0 in subregion) have been rolling of late winning seven straight and allowing just one run in that span.

Amber Seeba had three of Union County's five hits and one RBI.

Union County will off until next Tuesday when it plays host to Dawson County in a key Region 8-AA North game.
