SUWANEE - A two-acre, wind-driven brush fire near I-85 in Suwanee caused Gwinnett County police to close part of one road for a time about noon Monday.

"Crews found about two-acres of brush on fire in an area between the interstate and Sawmill Road," Gwinnett Fire Dept. spokesman Tommy Rutledge said. "Crews deployed hoselines on the sides of the fire to bring it under control. There were no vehicles or structures damaged and no injuries reported."

Capt. Rutledge said police temporarily closed Saw Mill Drive near Lawrenceville- Suwanee Road (Ga. 317) due to the smoke.

"The exact cause of the fire is undetermined," Rutledge added.
