Volleyball: No. 9 West Hall stays perfect

OAKWOOD -- The West Hall girls volleyball team improved to a perfect 8-0 early in the season after sweeping three matches Tuesday at the West Hall gym.

The Class AAA ninth-ranked Lady Spartans did not lose a game in beating Jackson County (25-12,25-23), Johnson (25-20, 25-18), and East Hall (25-22,25-21). The Lady Spartans have lost just four games so far in the young season.

Stephanie Rowland and LeNeisha Kearse had 16 kills each and Tonya Bennett had 12 kills for West Hall. Laykin Herford also had 36 assists for the Lady Spartans.
