Volleyball: Lady Falcons earn first win

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Flowery Branch girls volleyball team got its first win of the season Thursday night beating Apalachee in its Region 8-AAAA opener.

Kenzie Grewett sparked the win for the Lady Falcons (1-4, 1-0 in region) with nine assists and three aces. Amber Merchant added four kills and two aces for Flowery Branch.

In the first match of the night, Flowery Branch lost to Lambert. Flowery Branch next will play host to North Forsyth and Cedar Shoals Tuesday.
