Cross country: Chestatee sweeps meet

GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee cross country teams swept a pair of meets Thursday at Chestatee.<br /> <br /> The Lady War Eagles took the first five places in a dual meet with Johnson. Sarah Beth English placed first overall with a time of 22:27 on the War Eagle course.<br /> <br /> Paige Williams, Shelby Bennett, Yaritiza Carrillo, and Elaine Miklos rounded out the field for the perfect score (15).<br /> <br /> Cynthia Pham placed sixth for the Lady Knights. <br /> <br /> The Chestatee boys took first place in a tri-meet, edging out Lakeview Academy by four points. Johnson finished third.<br /> <br /> Lakeview's Dustin Synder won the individual race with a time 18:35 edging out teammate Lewis Brooks.<br /> <br /> Chestatee's Jeremy Gross and Jose Reyes took 3rd and 4th respectively with Gross finishing at 19:10 and Reyes at 19:17. Lakeview's Dalton Synder was fifth.
