FLOWERY BRANCH -- Tight end Reggie Kelly has returned to the Atlanta Falcons, agreeing to terms with his original NFL team.

Kelly reached the deal Tuesday. He was originally drafted by the Falcons with a second-round pick in 1999 after a much-debated deal that cost Atlanta a first-round pick the following year. Baltimore used it to take running back Jamal Lewis.

Kelly spent four years with the Falcons before signing with Cincinnati in 2003. He was with the Bengals the last seven seasons. In 2010, he had 10 receptions for 42 yards.

He joins starter Tony Gonzalez and last year's backups, Justin Peelle and Michael Palmer, at the tight end position.

To make room for Kelly, the Falcons waived receiver P.J. Gore.
