LAWRENCEVILLE -- The offense dried up for the Gwinnett Braves on Tuesday in a 4-3, 10-inning loss to the Indianapolis Indians at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

After two straight games of scoring in double digits, Gwinnett couldn't support a strong pitching performance by Todd Redmond. The G-Braves battled back late to send it into extra innings, but the bullpen couldn't hold out, as Gwinnett (61-49) fell back into second place in the International League South -- one game behind Durham, which won Tuesday. The G-Braves are also now in second in the Wild Card race by a half-game with the loss.

After tying the game at 3-3 with a ninth inning rally, Gwinnett gave the lead right back in the 10th inning with closer Jairo Asencio failing to follow his scoreless ninth in similar fashion. After getting a lineout, Asencio yielded a walk and single before a fielder's choice moved the winning run home.

Redmond finished after 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits with a walk and 7 strikeouts. The all-time Gwinnett wins leader for a pitcher has now yielded just two runs or less in each of his last four starts. Asencio (2-2) went 2 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits, 2 walks and a strikeout in the loss.

Unlike the last couple of games, Gwinnett couldn't get its bats going. Left fielder Wilkin Ramirez stayed rolling, going 2-for-5 with an RBI -- his sixth in the last three games. First baseman Mauro Gomez also went 1-for-4 with another RBI.

The G-Braves have an off day Wednesday before hitting the road briefly for a two game set with IL South rivals the Charlotte Knights, beginning Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in Fort Mill, S.C. Gwinnett will send out LHP Yohan Flande (7-5, 3.64) against Knights LHP Doug Davis (1-1, 1.50). The game can be heard on the voice of the Gwinnett Braves, WDUN 550 AM and 102.9 FM. -- NOTE: Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Randall Delgado was promoted to Gwinnett prior to Tuesday's game (from Double-A Mississippi) and will join the G-Braves rotation. His addition now gives the G-Braves all four top organizational pitching prospects and four of the top 100 prospects in all of baseball, according to Baseball America (along with RHP Julio Teheran, LHP Mike Minor, RHP Arodys Vizcaino).
