Bear spends most of Sunday up a tree at Dahlonega home

DAHLONEGA - An unusual and lengthy ordeal for a Dahlonega family is over after their dog chased a bear up a tree in their front yard Sunday.

The bear eventually came down after spending most of the day in the tree on Seabolt Stancil Road at the home of Jessica Jarrard and her family.

The animal did not appear to be injured.
