Rickey Tumlin to run for Hall Co. Sheriff

GAINESVILLE - Another law enforcement veteran has thrown his hat into the race for sheriff of Hall County.

Rickey E. Tumlin, who retired after 32 years with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, is running for the post being vacated by Steve Cronic.

Tumlin began his career as a jailer in the 1935 jail on June 1, 1972. During his career, Rickey worked under five different sheriffs and worked in three of the four divisions.

Jeff Strickland and Jon P. Strickland, both law enforcement veterans, have also announced their candidacy for the office.
