Burglary suspect eludes West Gainesville manhunt

GAINESVILLE - There was a brief manhunt on the westside of Gainesville Thursday night after three people were spotted trying to break into a house on Skelton Road.

A Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman said neighbors spotted the trio about 7:30 and called 911.

He said two of the culprits were caught almost immediately but the other eluded capture despite a search that included the Gainesville Police Department K-9 Unit.
