School transfer letters going out

GAINESVILLE - Hall County schools officials have begun notifying parents and guardians of currently enrolled students of a new state law that allows them to request a transfer of their children to another school in the county system.

Such transfers are permitted as long as there is available classroom space in the "school of choice" after all students assigned to that school are officially enrolled, which comes after the tenth day of the new school year.
