Andre Jones passes away at age 42

Andre Jones, the father of former Gainesville High football standout out Tai-ler Jones and a member of Notre Dame's 1988 national championship football team died Wednesday morning in Atlanta after suffering a brain aneurysm. <br /> <br /> Andre Jones was 42.<br /> <br /> Tai-ler Jones, also known as TJ, is a rising sophomore at Notre Dame and caught 23 passes for 306 yards and three touchdowns in his freshman campaign in South Bend.<br /> <br /> Tai-ler helped Gainesville to back-to-back Region 7-AAA titles in 2008 and '09 and to a Class AAA runner-up finish in '09.
