The North Georgia community was approved for a Georgia Fund loan of $1 million to finance sewer system improvements along State Road 441 between Dillard and Mountain City.
According to state officials, Clayton-Rabun County WSA will pay 3.81 percent interest on the 20-year loan for $1 million. The total project cost is $1.62 million with the balance provided by a $300,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission, a $300,000 grant from the OneGeorgia Authority, and $20,000 from the Clayton-Rabun WSA.
Clayton-Rabun County was among six communities in the state to receive a portion of 9.3 million dollars from GEFA.
