UNDATED - There are no signs that the north Georgia heat wave is going to end anytime soon her, as another milestone approaches.

The forecast through Sunday is for more temperatures in the 90s. If that happens, by Monday it will have been a month of above normal temperatures in most of north Georgia.

May 19 was the last day when readings in Gainesville were not above normal.

Highs on many of those days have been 10-12 degrees warmer than usual for this time of the year. However, on June 1, the high recorded at the airport was 97, which was 17 degrees above normal.
