ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech forward Brian Oliver, the team's third-leading scorer last season, is transferring to another school.

New coach Brian Gregory said Thursday Oliver, a 6-foot-6 forward, will leave Georgia Tech after summer semester. Oliver hasn't announced where he will play his final two seasons.

Oliver averaged 10.5 points as a sophomore and showed potential to be a scoring leader. He had 32 points against Syracuse and 28 against Virginia Tech last season, when he started 12 games but missed the final eight games with a broken thumb.

Oliver, a graduate of William Penn High School in New Castle, Del., lists Glassboro, N.J., as his hometown.
Georgia Tech forward Brian Oliver, left, talks with former Yellow Jackets coach Paul Hewitt during a game played last season.
