Funeral today for Gainesville businessman

GAINESVILLE - The funeral will be held today for a 64-year-old Gainesville businessman active in the building industry since he was 17.

Bill Dupree worked for America's Home Place, where he was an assistant to the president, Barry Connor.

His most recent accomplishment was the negotiation with the owners of Olive Garden and Chedders to sell land for new restaurants now being built on the Dawsonville Highway in Gainesville.

The funeral for Bill Dupree will be at 11:00 this morning at Lakewood Baptist Church.
