GAINESVILLE - Church workers interrupted a burglary in progress Friday morning in northwest Hall County.

Hall County Sheriff's Sergeant Kiley Sargent says workers arrived at Cool Springs Baptist Church around 11:00 a.m. and found two suspects in the process of burglarizing the building. The suspects ran, and authorities brought in a K-9 unit to find the pair.

"They were captured nearby in the woods, in a wooded area," said Sargent.

The suspects are identified as William Cody Mullinax, 19, and a 16-year-old juvenile. Both are jailed, Mullinax at the Hall County Jail and the juvenile at RYDC.

All items taken in the burglary, including electronics, were recovered. Total value of the stolen items was about $500, according to Sargent.
