On the heels of capturing a third straight Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament championship, the Saints garnered 369 total votes to slide past Midwestern State and take over as the No. 2 team in the land.
The University of Alabama-Huntsville continues to hold their reign at the top of the ranking, as the Chargers (35-1-1) received 15 of the 16 possible first place votes to remain the nation's No. 1 team for the fourth consecutive week.
With Midwestern State (41-6) coming in at No. 3, Valdosta State (31-6) and Rollins (42-2) round out the top five respectively.
The lone newcomer to the poll this week was Tiffin (27-10), which makes its first appearance in the poll at 25th since transitioning to Division II in 2008. Tiffin's inclusion in the poll meant that last week's No. 22, Armstrong Atlantic (30-12), was the only team to fall out of the rankings.
While the Pirates dropped out of the poll for the first time since the second week in March, AASU is one of two schools receiving votes with 12, while Flagler garnered 32 votes following an impressive showing in the PBC Tournament.
North Georgia continues to lead the country with 47 wins, including four victories last weekend at the PBC Tournament as the Saints successfully completed an unprecedented three-peat at the event. North Georgia is 16-2 all-time in the PBC Tournament, including 12 consecutive wins dating back to the opening round of the 2009 tournament.
The Saints, who are now 25-4 in the postseason over the last three years, will await word on seeding and location for the upcoming NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament.
North Georgia has hosted the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals each of the last two years at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium, and have posted a perfect 10-0 mark during those regional tournaments.
