The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Red Flag Warning for all of north and central Georgia for this afternoon because of expected dry, windy conditions.
Relative humidity of 25 percent or less can be expected for around four hours this afternoon and early evening, according to the NWS. Winds will be mostly
south and southeast around 10 mph.
"With dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected," the alert goes on to say. "Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities concerning
whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme
caution."
