Downtown wreck injuries one; snarls rush-hour traffic

GAINESVILLE - One person was injured in a wreck at a downtown Gainesville intersection Tuesday morning that slowed rush-hour traffic for about an hour.

The accident happened about 9:00 at E.E. Butler Parkway and Washington Street and involves two SUVs.

The northbound lanes of Butler were blocked until the wreckage could be cleared.

A woman injured in the crash was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
