Oakwood man given life sentence in kidnap/molestation

GAINESVILLE - A 32-year-old South Hall man has been given a life sentence after of kidnapping and molesting a a 12-year-old girl who was a neighbor of his.

Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh confirmed Wednesday that Angel Martinez-Palomino of Oakwood was convicted of kidnapping, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and child molestation.

The sentence includes 25 years behind bars with the remainder to be served on probation, according to Darragh.

Martinez-Palomino lived at an apartment complex on Spring Lane in Oakwood at the time of the incident nearly a year ago.
