Tennis: Johnson girls slam Walnut Grove

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Johnson girls tennis team did not drop a set in taking a 5-0 win over Walnut Grove Tuesday.

Cady Nix whipped Taylor Bussie 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Maggie Turner beat Mackensie Smith 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Harlee Robson beat Shelby Myers 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Claire Crain and Carlyn Ivey beat Deidra Corbin and Tyler Calhoun 6-0,6-3. The No. 2 team of Emma Rowlett and Karina Rivera beat Kaiti Bowers and Shannon Fitzpatrick 6-3, 6-4.
