NGMC now offering new service in Braselton

BRASELTON - Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is now offering full pulmonary function testing (PFT) services in Medical Plaza 1 at River Place on Thompson Mill Road in Braselton. <br /> <br /> Services in the PFT lab room, which is located inside the Imaging Center Braselton, include various pulmonary diagnostic tests read by Craig Brown, MD, a pulmonologist with Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic who sees patients at his office in Medical Plaza 1 each Friday. <br /> <br /> "PFTs are often used to officially diagnose patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and to assess shortness of breath and other various lung disorders," says Dr. Brown. "We are excited to be able to offer this service in the Braselton community," says Anthony Alexander, RRT, director of Respiratory Care Services for Northeast Georgia Medical Center. <br /> <br /> The lab is now open for testing every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule a pulmonary function test, call 770-219-7666.
