Tennis: Reed, War Eagles beat rival North Hall

GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee boys tennis team completed a season sweep of rival North Hall with a 3-2 win Tuesday.

The match came down to No. 2 singles between Chestatee's Jeremiah Reed and North Hall's Jesse Morris with the match going three sets. Reed eventually came away with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-0 victory to give the War Eagles the win.

The War Eagles also got wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Jonathan Cook extended his winning streak to nine with a 6-2, 6-3 win over North Hall's Mitch McCray. Pearce Gruenenfelder and Blaine Brown stayed unbeaten in Region 8A-AAA play with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Nathan Jones and Joe Nedza.

The Trojans' Sam Taylor beat Dillan Stapler 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles and North Hall's Lucas Martin and Reed Patrick beat Chestatee's Jeremy Atkins and Casey Campbell 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
