Baseball: Eagles get first win of season

ATHENS -- Riverside Military Academy got its first win of the season Friday, pounding Prince Avenue 17-6 in five innings.

Alec Ruppenthal had a huge day at the plate with five hits, including a home run, with two RBI and scored four times.

Jacob Harrison fanned eight while tossing a complete game for the Eagles (1-11, 1-6 in Region 8-A).

Mason Pope and Angernee Seymour each had two hits and two RBI for Riverside. Pope had a home run and Seymour had two doubles.

Riverside travels to Towns County on Tuesday.
