Baseball: Chestatee snaps streak, beats Stephens

GAINESVILLE -- Chestatee snapped a two-game losing streak with a 10-7 win over Stephens County Friday in Region 8-AAA action.

Scott Chewning was a one-man wrecking crew earning the win on the mound with 10 strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. He also belted a two-run home run.

Brice Beck had a double and two RBI and Mike Crawford had a two-run triple for the War Eagles (3-6, 3-4 in region).

Chestatee will travel to arch-rival North Hall on Monday.
