The festival runs through Sunday - complete with in-town camping, mountain and folk music, children's activities and more.
On Tuesday, a ceremony will be held in Blairsville, designating it as an Appalachian Trail Community, as well.
The program recognizes communities for their part in promoting awareness of the Appalachian Trail as an important national asset, according to the sponsoring Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
