Soccer: Lakeview splits with Pickens

JASPER -- The Lakeview Academy girls soccer team shutout host Pickens 4-0 behind carly Kenny, who had a goal and an assist to lead the offense.

Elise Biegler scored on an assist from Jamie Nixon, Liz Kenny scored an unassisted goal, and Emily Bendin scored on a pass from Kenny.

Mona Abraham recorded 11 saves in goal to get the shutout for the Lady Lions (4-2).

In the boys match, Pickens took a 1-0 win despite a solid game from keeper James Bagwell, who had six saves on 10 shots.
