No serious injuries in Candler Hwy. wreck

GAINESVILLE - The state patrol says there were no serious injuries in an accident on Candler Highway south of Gainesville Tuesday night which contributed to a second accident involving four vehicles, including a Hall County sheriff's patrol car.

State troopers say the first accident involved three vehicles and occurred when a car crossed the centerline, sideswiping an oncoming pickup, causing the pickup to overturn. The car then struck a van that was traveling behind the pickup.

The accident happened about 6:00 Tuesday night near Leeland Road.

The second accident left a sheriff's deputy and three other people with non-life threatening injuries. (See separate story.)
