Fourteen students placed high enough to move on to compete at Internationals in Orlando at the end of April. DECA, the marketing club at the high school level, allows students to create various business and promotion related projects that they present in front of judges at State Competition each year.
This particular group of students has worked exceptionally hard over the past 4 months to perfect their projects and presentations.
The following students placed in the top 6 will be moving on to compete at Internationals: Peyton Chambliss, Kaylan Senter, and Blakely Haff who competed in Advertising Campaign for North Georgia Canopy Tours; Kelsey Nuekum and Taylor Wilson who competed in Learn an Earn; Ariela Centeno and Krishi Patel who competed in Community Service Project; Taylor Jarrard, Christen Watkins, and Gracie Peck placed 7th in Fashion Promotion Plan; Whitney Brechter, Outstanding DECA Member recipient and DECA Memorial Scholarship Winner, as well as placing 5 in General Marketing Testing; Katelyn White who placed 3rd in Chapter Civic Consciousness Project; Samantha Robbins place 3rd in Business Speech; and KayLynn Samples, Outstanding DECA Member recipient, newly elected 2011-2012 Georgia DECA State Vice President, and place 2nd in Entrepreneurship Participating Franchise.
