Baseball: Sweet leads Chestatee past Monroe Area

GAINESVILLE -- Chestatee won its second straight game in Region 8-AAA play with an 8-5 win over Monroe Area Friday.

Zack Sweet tossed a complete game and fanned 10 to lead the War Eagles (2-4, 2-2 in region).

Alex Moore had a two-run home run and finished with three RBI for Chestatee. Scott Chewning swiped two bases and scored three runs for the War Eagles.

Chestatee travels to red-hot White County on Saturday.
