UNDATED - Parts of Lake Lanier are littered with floating debris such as tree branches and pine needles that have been washed into the reservoir by this week's heavy rains.

This was especially noticeable in the upper reaches of the lake Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the level of the lake was up another tenth of a foot Friday morning to 1071.79.

Full pool is 1071 and it was reached Thursday for the first time since last summer.

Rainfall this week across the river basins that feed the lake have totaled between 2 and 3 inches in places, including 2.32 inches in Gainesville; around 2.5 in Clarkesville and Dahlonega; and about 2 inches in Buford.
