ATLANTA - A new survey of businesses in North Georgia shows the job market may be poised for a big improvement over the next three months.

The employment firm Manpower asked its local clients if they plan to increase or shrink their payrolls in the second quarter - and the results were positive.

Spokeswoman Beth Herman tells Georgia News Network this comes a year after a similar survey showed far more respondants planned to cut jobs as opposed to hiring new employees. She says the net employment outlook of plus 11 percent is the best number they've seen since late 2007.

The survey polled Manpower clients to see if they planned to increase or decrease their payrolls over the next three months. Nineteen percent said they plan to hire more people, while only eight percent plan to cut jobs.
