A Flash Flood Watch has been posted for North Georgia by the National Weather Service (NWS). (See separate posting.)
After steady rains over the weekend dumped up to 2-3 inches in places, forecasters says another 2-3 inches are possible starting Wednesday morning and continuing through Thursday afternoon.
In addition, there could be some severe storms accompanying the rain. It was just eight days ago that many parts of North Georgia were battered by strong storms that downed trees and power lines and caused other damage.
