ATLANTA - Three well-traveled highways in northeast Georgia are about to get a face-lift.

All of the road signs along I-985 in Gwinnett and Hall counties; Georgia 365 in Hall and Habersham; and I-85 in Banks, Barrow, Franklin, Gwinnett, Hart and Jackson counties are scheduled to be replaced between now and October.

The DOT's Teri Pope says it's part of a nationwide change in standards to make the signs easier to see during times of low visibility.

The total cost of the three projects: $4.9 million dollars. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
