Boys soccer: No. 3 GHS routs Franklin County

GAINESVILLE -- No. 3 Gainesville remained perfect in Region 8-AAA after a dominating 8-0 win over Franklin County Friday night at City Park Stadium.

The defending Class AAA state champions got balanced scoring as seven different players scored goals and 11 different players registered a point.

Guilermo Santillian had two goals to lead Gainesville (5-1, 3-0 in region).
Merly Velasquez, Carlos Sanchez, and Roberto Nunez each had one goal and one assist for the Elephants.

Roman Arringa, Christian Gomez, and Aidan Reising had one goal for Gainesville. Ricardo Gomez added two assists and Douglas Mejia, Nathan Dillard, Aljandro Angles and Charlie Bryant each had one assist for the Elephants.
