GAINESVILLE - Gas prices in our area are up significantly again after holding pretty steady for about week.

They are up ten cents a gallon at some outlets in Gaineville in just the last 24 hours.

AccessNorthGa.com checked several outlets in Gainesville early today and found prices ranging from $3.35 to $3.39 a gallon for regular unleaded. Gasbuddy.com reports that prices in the city range from a low of $3.25 to a high of $3.45.

Elsewhere in northeast Georgia, prices ranged from $3.14 to $3.45 in Buford, according to gasbuddy.com; with the lowest reported in Habersham County $3.31 in Demorest; and, in Lumpking County, $3.39 in Dahlonega.

Georgia News Network reports that for the first time in a while, the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs is beginning to get complaints about the price of gasoline. But, Executive Director Bill Cloud says "there's nothing illegal going on in the marketplace right now in Georgia."
