PENDERGRASS - A new military uniform distribution center has opened in Pendergrass, and roughly 25 new jobs will be created as a result.

Company officials said Lion-Vallen Industries (LVI), the military third-party logistics division of LION, opened the 265,000-square-foot facility on Bonnie Valentine Way.

They said they plan to increase their staff from 50 to 75 workers, who will distribute uniforms and equipment to virtually all American troops.

The Pendergrass facility is the primary location for U.S. Army uniforms and clothing items under a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support.
