Girls soccer: Johnson opens with 5-5 draw

OAKWOOD -- The Johnson girls soccer team opened its season with a 5-5 tie against Class AAAA Forsyth Central Tuesday.

The Lady Knights got three goals from Kayln Dumanowsky and one goal each from Kayla Madsen and Chandler Steele.

Johnson trailed 4-1 at halftime but got its offense going in the second half.

Madsen's goal tied the game for Johnson with just 45 seconds left in the game.
