The biggest honor of all - record of the year - went to Lady Antebellum.
It was one of five awards won by the country music trio, which includes two members that graduated from the University of Georgia. Other Georgia winners included Atlanta R and B artist Usher, Cee Lo Green, also from Atlanta, and Georgia-based Zac Brown Band, which won for Best Country Collaboration.
The Zac Brown Band has its roots in Dahlonega. Its members include namesake, Zac Brown, a native of Dahlonega, and John Hopkins, a Gainesville native.
