The Kolter Group, which bought what was then known as Seasons on Lake Lanier from bankruptcy court early last year, says the clubhouse will include a heated indoor junior Olympics-sized pool, billiards room, ballroom, and fitness center, among other things. Outdoor amenities planned around the clubhouse include a lagoon-style pool, a marina with a courtesy dock, tennis courts and more.
Cresswind officials also say they have sold 32 homes since taking over the development and holding a grand opening last April.
The "active adult" community for people 55-and-older is located at the Browns Bridge Road/McEver Road intersection.
A full-time activities director will also be employed to help coordinate numerous events and activities throughout the year including seasonal parties, dancing and educational classes.
"We wasted no time putting a lot of money into reworking the community and we are pleased to see our hard work paying off," said Kolter Vice President, Bob Rademacher. "From day one we promised our homeowners that we would not only upgrade the community, but also build a clubhouse that is second to none. We are extremely pleased that construction is underway. There is tremendous excitement surrounding Cresswind right now, and I expect it to continue as the clubhouse becomes a reality."
