SUGAR HILL - Gwinnett County police have arrested a Sugar Hill man for illegally operating a dentist office from his basement.

Cpl. Edwin Ritter said the tip came from a would-be patient who got suspicious when he went to the the office at Vladimir Mandzyuk's home on Riverside Court Run. That's when police searched the home.

"The officer spoke with the 71-year-old man and confirmed that he was actually practicing dentistry without a license," said Ritter.

Mandzyuk is a native of the Ukraine, according to police, and spoke very little English. He is facing felony charges of practicing dentistry without a license.
