Boys basketball: Rabun shocks No. 9 Union County

TIGER -- Tanner Plemmons hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left to lift Rabun County to an upset win over Class AA No. 9 Union County 70-64 in overtime Tuesday night.

The shot gave Rabun the lead for good.

Union County trailed 45-33 with 1:56 left in third but outscored Rabun County 20-10 in the 4th to tie the game at 58.

Union led 64-62 in OT but Rabun finished with a 8-0 run in the final 1:45 to get the win.

Andrew Walker led Union County with 12 points. Seth Merritt added 11 for the Panthers.
