Franklin County (12-9, 3-3 in subregion) had won five straight games coming into the key matchup. Class AAA No. 9 Chestatee (18-4, 6-1) stayed tied atop the subregion standings with North Hall (11-10, 6-1) with the win.
The game was close most of the way with Chestatee leading 10-6 after the first quuarter and 18-14 at halftime. The Lady War Eagles opened up a 30-20
at the end of the third quarter and then held on down the stretch.
Peyton Robertson had 11 points and four rebounds to lead Chestatee. Erin Clifford added 10 points for the Lady War Eagles.
